Workshop Controller required in Cwmbran.
  • Starting salary is £30,000 per annum with £4,000 annual bonus potential.
  • Monday to Friday with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings.
  • Use of a company car with business fuel allowance. 
A not-to-miss opportunity has become available for a Workshop Controller to work over their large multi-franchise approved car dealer group across South Wales & parts of England within their Cwmbran Branch, however this role will also involed covering the Newport deealership as well in peak period, absence, holiday etc.

On a daily basis you will greet customers into the Service Department, extensively liaise with the workshop to chase work in progress, carry out up-selling of additional products and services where possible, and keep customers informed of the progress on their vehicle as well as various other ad-hoc responsibilities. You shall also provide workshop control coverage where you shall be responsible for the day to day management of a team of Vehicle Technicians. This will include allocating their workload, monitoring their efficiencies making sure the "first time fix" rate is high, ensuring a high quality of workmanship in a clean and safety conscious working environment, and liaise with the service reception team regarding work in progress.

In this role you shall need to have a UK driving licence with minimal points and live within the NP post code region. Recent or current experience in a similar capacity as a Senior Service Advisor or Workshop Controller would also be a requirement. Overall you will be able to deliver the very highest level of customer service through strong communication skills resulting in total customer satisfaction and have very strong organisational skills along with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and DMS systems (Kerridge/ADP/RTC/CItnow VHC preferable) would be of high priority.

  • Starting salary is £30,000 per annum
