Assistant Bodyshop Manager required in Chippenham.
  • Starting annual salary up to £42,000 (pending experience) with £10,000+ additional annual bonus potential and an end of year bonus.
  • Monday to Friday 7:30am-5:30pm with 1 in 2 Saturdays 8:00am-12:30pm.

Our client, a multi-site automotive accident repair network established in the Southwest region, are currently looking to recruit an experienced and professional Assistant Manager to join their busy centre in Chippenham.

Reporting to the Centre Manager, as Assistant Bodyshop Manager your responsibilities will include:
  • Day to day control of the bodyshop productives.
  • Liaise with Centre Manager and productive team to ensure best process.
  • Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated in an effective manner to other members of the team.
  • Monitor individual and workshop efficiencies to ensure key performance indicators are met.
  • To calculate and manage the effective use of the bodyshop.
  • Plan the distribution of work among the team utilising available skills mix.
  • Identify individual training and development needs.
  • Manage liaison between workshop and bodyshop reception on customer vehicle progress.
  • Manage workshop standards in accordance with HSO requirements.
To be eligible, you will ideally live within a reasonable commuting distance to Chippenham and will ideally hold a proven track record in running a successful automotive accident repair workshop. Overall, you will have excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills and team orientation, be results orientated, have problem solving and decision-making skills, put a focus on quality and reliability, and be IT literate. You will also need to have a UK driving license with minimal points.
