- Pay: £34,000 - £38,000 Depending on experience + overtime
- Hours: 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday - Saturdays optional paid as overtime
They are seeking an MOT Tester to join their expanding and highly experienced mechanical team .

Within this MOT Tester role your typical duties will include:
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they comply with legal requirements for roadworthiness. This includes examining various components such as brakes, lights, steering, suspension, tires, and emissions systems.
- Perform MOT tests according to the guidelines set by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). This involves following specific testing procedures outlined in the MOT Inspection Manual, which covers a wide range of vehicle types and components.
- Maintain accurate records of all MOT tests conducted, including details of the vehicle, test results, and any defects found. Ensure that all paperwork is completed correctly and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with vehicle owners regarding the outcome of MOT tests, explaining any issues or defects discovered during the inspection process. Provide guidance on necessary repairs or maintenance to ensure compliance with MOT standards.
- Adhere to high standards of professionalism and integrity in performing MOT tests, ensuring that all procedures are conducted accurately and impartially. Follow established protocols for quality assurance and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Stay informed about updates to MOT testing procedures, regulations, and technical standards. Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills related to vehicle inspection and maintenance.
- Maintain a safe working environment in the MOT testing facility, adhering to health and safety regulations and best practices. Take appropriate precautions to minimise risks associated with vehicle inspection activities.
