Reporting directly into the Management Accountant/Dealer Principal, in this role this role your key responsibilities will include monthly accounts, balance sheet reconciliation, intercompany reconciliations, quarterly VAT returns, cash flow forecasting, and annual budgets. You will be required to work efficiently to meet particular deadlines/strict accounting deadlines. Other duties will include liaising with Company Auditors, and Bankers along with our other business partners. You will be preparing a month end reporting pack which will include KPI’s and analysis of business performance compared to budget. You will also oversee 2 Accounts Assistants within the role.
In order to be eligible for the role you will need to be a fully qualified, Chartered or Certified, Accountant that is highly organised and self-motivated with good communication and numeracy skills. You will have previously overseen an Accounts Department with several team members and be accustomed to managing and delegating accordingly. The successful applicant will have experience in the automotive industry and you will have a good understanding of computerised accounts using a DMS along with exporting, manipulating and presenting reports in Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate will be expected to maintain strong balance sheet control measures, along with overseeing intercompany reconciliation another related business.
