LCV/Van Technicians required in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
  • Starting salary between £34-45,000 per annum pending experience/qualifications. 
  • Productivity/efficiency orientated bonus scheme up to £9,000 per annum (paid monthly).
  • 40 hour week Monday to Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm with a 60 minute lunch break.

Our client, a family-run automotive commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple centres across Southern England, are currently recruiting for a Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV)/Van Technician to join their busy dealership in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

Reporting to the Service Manager and working as part of a team, your key objectives as a LCV/Van Technician will include:
  • To complete all service work and defined maintenance work on vehicles of the utmost quality and efficiency within manufacturers time schedules.
  • Supply a professional performance in all aspects of work activities to make an essential contribution to the value and retention of customers.
  • Supporting colleagues in the workshop with any technical issues and innovations.
  • Ability to carry out comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of malfunctions.
  • To ensure that all company policies and procedures applicable to their area of responsibility are always adhered to.
  • Document the results of diagnosis/repairs/service/safety inspections.
To be eligible, you will ideally be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (either on heavy or light vehicles) with several years' experience beyond your qualification. Overall, you will need to be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce a high quality of work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Applicants with experience working on LCV/vans or VAG branded vehicles would be preferential but it is non-essential.

  • Optional Saturdays/overtime subject to availability paid at an enhanced rate of time and a half or double time pending what you work.
  • 22 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (any bank holidays worked will be paid at double time) with your holiday increasing over length of service.
