Our client, a large multi-franchise dealer group established across the West Midlands, South West, and South Wales, are currently looking to recruit an Service Manager to join their Hereford dealership on a fixed 6 to 12 month maternity cover contract.
 
Reporting to the Group Service Director and responsible for a team of seven Vehicle Technicians, two Service Advisors, a Workshop Controller, and a Service Driver, you will be a proactive member of our client's management team with responsibility for running an efficient and professional aftersales operation to ensure complete customer satisfaction through the maximum utilisation of workshop facilities and the efficient sale of labour.

The successful Service Manager candidate will live within a reasonable commuting distance of Hereford and ideally have strong recent or current experience working as a Service or Aftersales Manager within a franchise approved car dealership. Failing this, a stable and lengthy career as a Workshop Controller/Assistant Service Manager or similar would be considered. You will need to be effective in managing and supporting colleagues and have the drive and determination to maintain policies that constantly improve customer satisfaction and our client's reputation. You will need to be IT literate and have a UK driving license with minimal points.
