  • Salary c.£26,000
  • Location: Barnsley (Hybrid Working After Probation)
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (1 hour lunch) Rotating Saturdays: 8am - 12pm (time off in lieu)

Our client is currently seeking a IT Helpdesk Customer Specialist  to join their dynamic team in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for customer support and IT, looking to grow their career in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

The Helpdesk team is at the heart of the business, providing internal IT support across the company. No two days are the same, so adaptability, multitasking, and a proactive mindset are essential.

What the successful IT Helpdesk Customer Specialist will Do:
  • Provide high-quality 1st line IT support via phone, email, live chat, Webex, and remote desktop tools.
  • Log and manage support tickets, ensuring updates are recorded and issues resolved within SLA targets.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks such as onboarding/offboarding and contract changes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to maintain service excellence and improve processes.
What the IT Helpdesk Customer Specialist will do :
  • At least 1 year of experience in an IT Helpdesk or Service Desk role.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, manage competing priorities, and work independently.
  • A reliable, conscientious attitude and strong customer service skills.
