MOT Tester
  • Hours: 45 hours per week (Monday – Friday with Saturdays on a rota)
  • Salary: £34,000 + Bonus + Benefits (OTE £38,000)
Our client, a rapidly growing national automotive company, is seeking a qualified MOT Tester to join their professional team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic workshop environment with fantastic training and career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities of an MOT Tester:
  • Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
  • Undertake mechanical repairs, including work on brakes, clutches, cambelts, exhaust systems, and tyre fitting
  • Operate wheel alignment equipment and interpret results to perform required adjustments
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out safely, accurately, and to a high standard
  • Complete vehicle inspection documentation and comply with all internal processes
  • Identify and report any additional faults to both customers and management
  • Maintain a clean, well-organised, and compliant workshop environment
Requirements for an MOT Tester:
  • Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance Qualification or a valid MOT Tester Licence
  • Previous experience in a professional workshop setting
  • In-depth knowledge of brake systems, tyres, cambelts, clutches, and exhaust components
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Team-oriented with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
