- Hours: 45 hours per week (Monday – Friday with Saturdays on a rota)
- Salary: £34,000 + Bonus + Benefits (OTE £38,000)
Key Responsibilities of an MOT Tester:
- Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
- Undertake mechanical repairs, including work on brakes, clutches, cambelts, exhaust systems, and tyre fitting
- Operate wheel alignment equipment and interpret results to perform required adjustments
- Ensure all tasks are carried out safely, accurately, and to a high standard
- Complete vehicle inspection documentation and comply with all internal processes
- Identify and report any additional faults to both customers and management
- Maintain a clean, well-organised, and compliant workshop environment
- Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance Qualification or a valid MOT Tester Licence
- Previous experience in a professional workshop setting
- In-depth knowledge of brake systems, tyres, cambelts, clutches, and exhaust components
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Team-oriented with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
