Bodyshop Controller required in Edinburgh
  • Salary: Basic up to £50,000 DOE + Bonus
  • Hours: 45-hour working week
  • Type: Independent Bodyshop
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bodyshop Controller for a busy, well-established Accident Repair Centre in the Edinburgh area. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands how to manage workflow, support a team of technicians, and maintain high repair standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities as a Bodyshop Controller:
  • Manage daily workshop operations to ensure efficient workflow
  • Allocate work across Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians, and MET Technicians
  • Ensure repairs are completed to the highest standards, using Thatcham/Manufacturer methods
  • Monitor and maintain productivity and quality levels across the team
  • Liaise with insurance engineers and estimators regarding repair methods and timescales
  • Maintain compliance with Health & Safety regulations and internal policies
  • Support and mentor the bodyshop team in achieving targets
What We’re Looking For?
  • Previous experience as a Bodyshop Controller or Bodyshop Team Leader
  • Strong technical background in vehicle repair (Panel, MET, or Paint)
  • ATA accreditation highly desirable
  • Proven leadership, workflow management, and organisational skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced Accident Repair environment
  • Confident using repair methods and estimates from Thatcham or manufacturer portals
  • Full UK Driving Licence required
