- Independent Family-Run Service Centre – South Guildford
As a Senior Technician; you will play a pivotal role in diagnostics, complex repairs, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring a high standard of work is maintained across the board. You must be confident in working independently, with an exceptional understanding of both mechanical and electronic vehicle systems.
An MOT Licence would be a distinct advantage, but is not essential.
Key Responsibilities as Technician with our Client:
- Carry out advanced diagnostics, mechanical and electrical repairs, servicing, and maintenance on a wide range of Vehicles.
- Oversee and support the technical development of junior Technicians.
- Perform quality control checks and ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Conduct MOT Tests (if licenced) and complete all associated paperwork accurately.
- Attend breakdowns or emergency repairs as required, occasionally outside normal hours.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support Workshop Management in the efficient running of the Service department.
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or higher in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) or Time Served.
- Proven experience in a Senior Technician or Master Technician role.
- Proficient in using modern diagnostic tools and interpreting fault codes.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Your own tools.
- MOT Tester Certification preferred, but not essential.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
