Our client, a franchise approved car dealership is currently looking to recruit a General Manager for their dealership in the Cardiff area as a result of business expansion. 

Reporting to the Integrations Director, and working in a friendly and accommodating working environment, as a General Manager, you will have overall accountability for people and financial performance for said dealership.

Your responsibilities will involve the following:
  • Lead, manage and motivate a team of automotive professionals, ensuring the dealership is adequately resourced.
  • Drive a high-performance culture, ensuring performance is rewarded and under-performance is managed.
  • Oversee the sales and aftersales divisions, ensuring performance meets or exceeds budget.
  • Set financial and growth objectives for each department, and plan accordingly to ensure profit and product targets are met.
  • Accurately finalise dealership reporting, in line with our client's group reporting frameworks.
  • Develop and roll out dealership marketing and publicity strategies to support objectives.
  • Support the dealerships to consistently achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure dealership activities are conducted in line with our clients, manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
Our client requires an experienced Head of Business/Dealer Principal/General Manager from a main dealership background to join and drive their business forward. In addition to your previous experience, our client is seeking an individual who displays strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a large and diverse team, a professional and calm approach with strong stakeholder management skills to manage internal and external stakeholders, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foresee potential barriers. A UK driving licence with minimal points is also essential. 

For your hard work as a General Manager, our client is offering:
  • Starting basic salary between £65-75,000 however this is based on experience.
  • Uncapped performance-related bonus scheme providing an OTE between £85-100,000 per annum
  • Company car & fuel card.
  • Access to manufacturer-accredited training/development.
  • 31 days annual leave (including the bank holidays) with holiday allowance increasing over the length of service.
