Vehicle Part Advisor required in Swansea.
  • Starting salary up to £30,000 per annum plus overtime paid at time and a half.
  • Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:30pm with 1 in 2 Saturdays 6:00am-12:00pm paid as overtime.

Our client, a large franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership in the Swansea region, requires an experienced and professional Vehicle Parts Advisor to join their busy Parts Department.

Reporting to the Group Parts Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Ensure that the parts department operates efficiently and to the highest possible standards, by implementing agreed document procedures, to achieve complete customer satisfaction.
  • Accept requests and orders from customers and other departments and ensure that their requirements are correctly identified and met by the Parts Department promptly.
  • Ensure that the Parts Department is kept in a clean and tidy condition. All parts are located in appropriate locations, and all quality records are maintained securely.
  • Prepare orders to purchase parts by following documented procedures. To place urgent orders for parts on behalf of the company.
  • Correctly prepare invoices, parts issue sheets, delivery notes and other documents by following documented procedures.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with other staff, suppliers and customers.
  • Carry out any further duties, within capabilities, when requested by management. These may include visiting customers, stock taking, maintaining equipment, displays, supervising and acting as a delivery driver or manager, etc.
To be eligible, you will ideally live within a reasonable commutable distance of Swansea and will need to hold recent or current experience working as a Vehicle Parts Advisor within a franchise-approved automotive dealership. Any experience working with commercial vehicle parts would be highly advantageous; however is non-essential. You will also need to be IT literate, given that you will work daily with an electronic parts catalogue system, hold a UK driving license with minimal points, and have strong customer service/sales skills with a friendly and charismatic telephone manner.
