Panel Beater required in York:
  • Competitive salary of £54,600 per annum.
  • 50-hour working week Monday to Friday, with 1 in 2 Saturday mornings subject to business demand.

Due to increased volumes our client, a large automotive accident repair group established throughout England, is currently looking to recruit an additional Panel Beater to join their busy centre in York.

Reporting to the Centre Manager and working as part of a large team, as a Panel Beater your responsibilities will include: 
  • Undertake replacement and repair of damaged or compromised bodywork panels.
  • Complete chassis and framework repairs.
  • Welding and panel bonding of panels.
  • Conduct bumper and door repair work as required.
  • Maintaining thorough and up-to-date product knowledge.
  • Maintaining exceptionally high customer service levels that lead to customer loyalty and referrals.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping/health and safety standards and orderly administration of your work.
To be eligible, you will ideally have a recognised qualification in automotive Panel Beating or be working towards an IMI qualification. Our client, however, is willing to consider candidates with no formal qualifications who have a prior track record in panel beating. Overall, you will be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, carry out duties as detailed on job cards to manufacturer and company standards, use initiative and prioritise workload to meet delivery times and customers’ expectations, be able to work independently but liaise effectively with colleagues and support others by multi-tasking during busy periods. A UK driving licence with minimal points is essential at this stage.
