General Sales Manager required in Swindon.
  • Starting salary around £35,000, dependent on experience, with an uncapped on-target earnings of £60,000 per annum and a company car. 
  • Guaranteed 5-day week: 8:30am-6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with one scheduled day off in the week, and 9:00am-5:00pm Saturday. 
  • First-hand stake in helping drive our client's sales team forward.

Due to expansion and a brand-new franchise shortly joining their business, our client, a family-run multi-franchise approved car dealer group established across the Wiltshire region, is currently looking to recruit a General Sales Manager to head up this new franchise based out of one of their dealerships in Swindon.

Reporting to our client's senior management team, as the General Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and performance of the dedicated sales team. You will be instrumental in building the brand presence, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving profitability and operational excellence. 

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Working with the Managing Director to promote and develop the new brand in Swindon.
  • Developing & implementing business strategies to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruiting & leading a high-performing team across sales and administration.
  • Ensuring compliance with brand and group standards.
  • Driving financial performance to meet and exceed targets.
  • Creating a customer-centric culture that sets us apart from competitors.

Given the nature of this role, you will have previous experience at a general sales/sales management level within a franchise-approved automotive dealership. In addition to your previous experience, our client is seeking an individual who displays strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a large and diverse team, a professional and calm approach with strong management skills to manage internal and external stakeholders, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foresee potential barriers and a strategic mindset with the ability to drive growth and innovation as our client's new brand expands. A UK driving licence with minimal points is also essential.
