Motor Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester Needed in Wigan 
  • Working Hours: 40-hour week, day shifts + regular Saturday morning overtime
  • Salary: £30,000 – £44,000 (Depending on Experience + OTE)
Our client, a well-established and family-run Main Dealership Group, is seeking experienced Motor Vehicle Technicians and MOT Testers to join their expanding team in Wigan. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a franchised environment where high standards, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service are at the forefront. Full franchise and supplementary training will be provided to support your development.

Key Responsibilities for Motor Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester:
  • Road test vehicles and diagnose problems as required
  • Carry out inspections, repairs, and servicing in line with manufacturer standards
  • Conduct MOT tests in line with regulations and complete annual training requirements
  • Ensure all paperwork is accurate and up to date
  • Maintain high productivity levels and complete work within agreed timeframes
  • Work closely with service and parts teams to deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Keep work areas and protective clothing clean, tidy, and safe
What We’re Looking For in a Motor Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester:
  • Qualified to NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Current MOT licence (essential for MOT Tester roles)
  • Full UK driving licence (clean)
  • Previous experience in a franchised or independent workshop environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work
