Vehicle Technician needed in Portsmouth:
  • Basic Salary Up to £34,000 + OTE £44,000
  • Franchised Main Dealer
  • Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:30 ONLY
  • Portsmouth, Hampshire
Our client has a strong reputation within the automotive trade, with over 420 staff employed across Hampshire & Surrey. They offer a steady, well paid employment with a pleasant atmosphere alongside continuous training and development. They have a large successful service operation and are looking for a Vehicle Technician to lead the team and push the workshop team forward.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician with our Client:
  • Carrying out vehicle services and repairs in accordance with brand technical standards.
  • Working in accordance with brand and dealership processes.
  • Liaising directly with customers where appropriate.
  • Providing support to less experienced colleagues.
  • Attending regular training to update technical skills.
  • Ensuring that the immediate working environment is kept clean and devoid of any working practice which may be hazardous to either themselves or others.
What our Client expects of their Vehicle Technicians:
  • Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ accreditation
  • Previous work experience in a franchise dealership
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Systematic and organised with an eye for detail
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of issues with a proactive can-do attitude
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to learn and keep up-to-date with product and technical information
  • Thrives in a high pressured environment
  • Full valid UK driving licence
