MET Technicians required in Manchester:
  • Basic Salary- Up to £54,600.00 (Hourly paid) 
  • Hours: 6:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday and 1 in 2 Saturday mornings depending on business needs.

Our Client is part of one of the largest providers of accident claim services in Europe with over 2,500 employees. They offer an unrivaled platform for training, development, and employee packages. They are seeking a MET Technician to join their team! This is a great opportunity to join a thriving part of the accident repair business. Our Client offers a fully equipped workshop which has only just opened, and are looking for Candidates with energy and passion to join a small team of dedicated professionals that really care about the work they carry out.

What our Client expects of their MET Technician:
  • Quality Awareness
  • Communication Skills
  • Multi-Tasking
  • ATA would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic would be ideal. 
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 is desirable but longstanding experience would be welcomed. 
Responsibilities of an MET Technician:
  • Removal of damaged parts to allow repairs to take place.
  • Ensuring displaced parts are stored correctly and safely for refitting.
  • Checking for additional damage and any additional parts that may be required, bringing these items to the attention of the Vehicle Damage Assessor and ordering the additional parts.
  • Checking all the parts are here, and are correct to enable smooth travel through the vehicle repair journey.
  • Once the vehicle has been repaired and painted, you then refit the vehicle, taking care and attention not to damage freshly painted panels and ensuring panel gaps are true and within manufacturers tolerances.
  • Ensures that all health and safety legislation and internal procedures are followed.
  • Attends regular safety training to review work safety rules.
  • Ensures the maintenance of tools, equipment, and other materials.
  • Performs other reasonable activities from time to time.
