Workshop Controller needed in Guildford, Surrey!

Are you an experienced Workshop Controller looking for an exciting new opportunity in Surrey? Our client, a prestigious and well-established Franchised Car Dealer Group in Guildford, is seeking a motivated and professional individual to join their Automotive Industry award-winning Aftersales team.
  • Location: Guildford, Surrey
  • Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 Basic + Bonuses
  • Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday + Saturday mornings on a rota
  • DMS Used: Kerridge
Responsibilities of a Workshop Controller with our client:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery.
  • Coordinate and schedule vehicle repairs and maintenance with technicians and service advisors.
  • Liaise between customers, service advisors, and the workshop to ensure seamless communication.
  • Monitor job progress, ensuring work is completed on time and to dealership standards.
  • Manage workshop resources, including tools, equipment, and technician workloads.
  • Ensure all paperwork, invoicing, and warranty claims are completed accurately.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and meet dealership productivity and efficiency targets.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the workshop team.
What our client is looking for in their Workshop Controller:
  • Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or Senior Technician within a franchised dealership or independent garage.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Kerridge or similar DMS (Dealer Management System).
  • A passion for delivering top-level service and maintaining workshop efficiency.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A full UK driving licence is preferred.
