HGV Technician - Days - Needed in Preston:
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:30am – 8:00pm (40 hours per week)
  • Salary: Basic up to £48,000 (£18 - £23 per hour)
Our client, a highly reputable and expanding organisation, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team in Preston. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a professional and rewarding environment, with a strong emphasis on employee development and career growth.

Key Responsibilities of a HGV Technician:
  • Service, inspect, and repair HGV, PCV, and RCV vehicles
  • Carry out MOT preparations to ensure vehicles meet regulatory standards
  • Perform diagnostics and fault-finding on a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Undertake fitting and repair work as required
  • Follow safety procedures and vehicle maintenance regulations
  • Utilise strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve workshop targets
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician (experience with PCV/RCV also advantageous)
  • Qualified to a Level 3 standard in HGV maintenance and repair (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV/PCV licence desirable)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
