In this role, you'll be responsible for carrying out heavy mechanical repairs such as clutch and gearbox replacements, engine rebuilds, cambelt and timing chain changes, and head gasket repairs. Your skills will ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and workshop success.

Required Skills
  • Minimum Level 3 Vehicle Technician or Mechanic qualification
  • Proven experience in clutch, gearbox, and engine rebuilds
  • Strong diagnostic skills to identify and rectify faults
  • Valid UK or EU driving licence
  • Excellent communication and teamworking abilities
  • Self-motivated with keen attention to detail
  • Professional, punctual, and committed to high standards
Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience as a Master Technician or Technician
  • Knowledge of heavy vehicle repairs and non-customer facing roles
  • Experience with cambelt and timing chain replacements
  • Skills in head gasket repairs
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Proven track record in a busy workshop environment
  • Relevant NVQ or equivalent in vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Demonstrable ability to handle complex mechanical tasks with confidence
Other Requirements
  • Fully open to those interested in working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with Saturday mornings on a rota basis
  • Ability to perform repairs requiring specialised knowledge of wet belts, cambelts, gears, and engines
  • Drive and maintain a proactive approach to continuous professional development
