HGV Technician Needed in Trafford Park
  • Location: Trafford Park, Manchester
  • Working Hours: 4 on / 4 off day shift, 6am–6pm (work only half the year)
  • Salary: Up to £46,000 + bonus
We’re recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading commercial vehicle specialists, now looking for a skilled HGV Technician to strengthen their team.

Key Responsibilities for HGV Technician:
  • Carry out maintenance and repair work on a range of commercial vehicles and trailers
  • Diagnose faults, conduct tests, and complete permanent, high-quality repairs
  • Manage all associated documentation for warranty, contract, and retail work
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimise customer downtime
  • Support colleagues and undertake additional tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor
What We’re Looking For in a HGV Technician:
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
  • Proven experience in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing commercial vehicles
  • Up-to-date manufacturer training and strong technical understanding
  • Organised, methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV licence preferred but not essential)
