An established commercial vehicle workshop is seeking a dedicated Parts Advisor to play a key role in their busy team in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. This is your opportunity to utilise your expertise, grow your career, and be part of a company that values its employees!
  • Hours: 42.5 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with every other Saturday 07:30 am to 12:00 noon (overtime paid)

Main Duties of the Parts Advisor Include:
  • Identifying vehicle parts, picking, selling, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and processing orders and supplies
  • Proactively contacting potential and existing customers to upsell products and promotions
  • Liaising with suppliers for non-brand parts orders, ensuring accurate parts information on job cards for invoicing by the admin team
  • Utilising computerised parts systems and main agent catalogues effectively
  • Managing stock control, liaising with suppliers, and delivering parts as needed
  • Covering service parts counter when required
Essential Requirements for the Parts Advisor:
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle types and parts; HGV experience is preferable
  • Proven ability to build and grow customer relations
  • Confident with computerised parts systems and stock management processes
  • Experience handling warranty and following parts processes with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with a commitment to customer service
  • Organisational skills and the ability to work independently under pressure
  • Positive attitude with a proactive 'can-do' approach
  • Ability to work efficiently both individually and as part of a team
  • Adaptability to implement change and drive sales
Desirable Requirements for the Parts Advisor:
  • Trailer product knowledge
  • Experience with Impact Parts System
  • Valid driving licence
  • Forklift licence
