Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Vehicle Technician to join their high-performing team and provide exceptional service to their valued customers. Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Conducting full examinations of vehicles (including electronic vehicle health checks).
  • Identify non-routine defects and faults either in the workshop or during vehicle road tests.
  • Undertake timely repair and servicing of customer vehicles in accordance with technical standards.
  • Provide a knowledgeable, courteous, responsive, and efficient service to all colleagues and workshop customers. 
  • Work closely with the front of house service team, ensuring they are kept informed of the progress on customer vehicles and are fully briefed on work completed.
  • Discuss technical issues/works directly with customers when requested
  • Offer technical advice and support to workshop apprentices
  • Work with the wider workshop team to design and implement new methods of work to improve efficiency.  
Requirements of this Vehicle Technician role: 
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a main dealer or franchise environment
  • Relevant formal qualification such as NVQ Level 3, IMI or City & Guilds
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to first-time fix
  • Customer focus with clear communication skills
  • Ability to follow strict technical procedures and guidelines
  • MOT licence would be highly advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence with a confident driving manner
  • Passionate about the automotive industry and eager to develop skills
  • Team player who supports colleagues and shares knowledge
