Our client, a reputable independent bodyshop in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, is seeking an experienced Bodyshop Workshop Controller / Quality Controller to oversee vehicle repairs, maintain high standards, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.

In this pivotal role, you will manage the entire repair process from start to finish, coordinate workflows, supervise technicians, and liaise with insurers. Your expert eye for quality and efficiency will be key in maintaining the company's high standards and fostering excellent customer relationships.

Details & Benefits for the Bodyshop Controller:
  • Basic Salary circa £50,000 Depending on experience and qualifications
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.00pm.

Required Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Bodyshop Workshop Controller or similar role
  • Competency in estimating and damage assessment (Estimator/VDA skills are advantageous)
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of vehicle accident repair procedures and industry standards
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Additional experience as a Bodyshop Manager / Supervisor
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems and repair software
  • Ability to carry out technical estimates and inspections
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience within the automotive accident repair industry
  • Demonstrable expertise in managing workshops and assessing vehicle repairs
  • Proven track record of maintaining high-quality standards and customer satisfaction
Other Requirements:
  • Must be familiar with current industry practices and standards
  • Ability to work well under pressure within a fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiastic about career progression and professional development
This role offers a competitive basic salary of circa £50,000, with an OTE of up to £55,000 for the right candidate!

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, in a positive and supportive working environment with excellent internal promotion opportunities.
