  • Basic salary: Up to £34,000, OTE £39,000 dependent on experience
  • Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
  • 1 Saturday every 2 months!! 6 per year 08:30 - 12:30

Vehicle Technician required for our client’s Portsmouth branch. Our Client is a well-known prestige main dealer, seeking a Vehicle Technician for their site following an added workload at the location.

They represent a world renowned brand with market leading products and industry leading innovation. This role would suit individuals with an interest in working within a workshop environment and are trustworthy, principled and self-motivated.

Our client is ideally seeking a level 3 qualified technician with an MOT licence and prior workshop experience however are open to looking those with a level 2 NVQ as a minimum with the ambition to develop their career and gain brand accreditation.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician with our client?
  • Carrying out vehicle services and repairs in accordance with brand technical standards.
  • Working in accordance with brand and dealership processes.
  • Liaising directly with customers where appropriate.
  • Providing support to less experienced colleagues.
  • Attending regular training to update technical skills.
  • Ensuring that the immediate working environment is kept clean and devoid of any working practice which may be hazardous to either themselves or others
What our client expects of their Vehicle Technicians?
  • MOT Licence preferred but not essential 
  • Systematic and organised with an eye for detail
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of issues with a proactive can-do attitude
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to learn and keep up-to-date with product and technical information
  • Thrives in a high pressured environment
  • Full valid UK driving licence
  • NVQ Level 2 minimum
