Vehicle Technician Needed in Heywood 
  • Location: Heywood, Greater Manchester
  • Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm (no weekends)
  • Salary: Up to £40,000 basic (depending on experience)
Our client, a well-established independent specialist garage, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a reputable independent business known for its quality workmanship, supportive environment, and strong local reputation.

Key Responsibilities for a Vehicle Technician:
  • Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of vehicles
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
  • Perform vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Conduct suspension, brake, and general mechanical work efficiently and accurately
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
What We’re Looking For in a Vehicle Technician:
  • Level 3 NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (essential)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • MOT testing licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
