Our client, a large multi-franchise car dealer group established across South Wales and South West England, requires a Vehicle Parts Advisor to join their busy franchise-approved car dealership situated in Bath.

Reporting to the Aftersales Manager and working as part of a small, friendly team, as a Vehicle Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for accurately identifying and promptly picking and supplying vehicle parts to our clients’ workshop staff to carry out vehicle repairs. You will also carry out parts stock control and audits, deal with retail customers regarding parts inquiries, and on occasions cover delivery runs in the absence of a Parts Delivery Driver.

Do you need previous experience as a Vehicle Parts Advisor for this role? In short, no! 

Whilst previous experience working as a Vehicle Parts Advisor within a franchise-approved automotive dealership would be highly beneficial to our client, it is not essential, and our client is very open to considering candidates from a motor factor background or from outside the motor trade, provided they have strong transferable skills in a parts/stores/warehousing environment. You will also need to be IT literate as you will work daily with our client's electronic parts catalogue and dealer management systems, be a strong communicator/team player, be organised and have good attention to detail, and have strong customer service/sales skills with a friendly and charismatic telephone manner, given that you will be interacting with customers daily.
