HGV Technician Needed in Manchester
  • Location: Manchester
  • Working Hours: Alternating shifts (weekly rotation)
  • Week 1: 06:00–14:30
  • Week 2: 13:30–22:00 + Saturday 06:00–12:00 (paid at time and a half)
  • Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (including Saturday overtime)
We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected commercial vehicle employer, now looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join their team.

Key Responsibilities for an HGV Technician: 
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on commercial vehicles
  • Diagnose faults and complete rectification work efficiently
  • Perform inspections to DVSA and manufacturer standards
  • Maintain accurate job cards and service records
  • Support a busy workshop environment with a focus on productivity and quality
What We’re Looking For in an HGV Technician: 
  • Level 3 Heavy Vehicle qualification or time-served equivalent
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic capability
  • Experience working on HGVs or LCVs
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential)
