  • Starting salary negotiable pending experience, with a performance-related bonus providing on-target earnings up to £52,000 per annum.

Our client, a large automotive accident repair centre based in Tewkesbury, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Panel Beater to join their business. 

Working as part of a team and reporting to the General Manager, this role offers you the opportunity to use your technical expertise and attention to detail to produce high-quality results.

Your daily responsibilities will include:
  • Dismantle and repair damaged vehicles by either repairing damaged panels or by replacing those beyond repair. All equipment used, including jigs, fixtures and welding equipment, will be operated as per the instructions, level of qualification and the prescribed safety standards.
  • Adhere to the manufacturer’s literature and modification bulletins as appropriate to the repair and replacement of chassis and panel work. Where appropriate, attend training courses to enable you to be updated on new techniques and produce development.
  • Handle all vehicles with due care and attention, ensuring that customer care/satisfaction is always maintained, keeping the company’s tools and equipment safe and in a clean, workable condition.
  • To be aware of and adhere to all the housekeeping and health and safety regulations and policies applicable to your position and working environment.
In order to be eligible, you will need to have current or recent experience working as a Vehicle Panel Beater. Formal qualifications to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent would be desirable; however, our client is willing to consider candidates with at least 3 years "on the job" panel beating experience that can work to their meticulous standards. Overall, you will have a good eye for detail, be a team player with good communication skills, have an aptitude for multitasking, and have a UK driving license with minimal points. Candidates with an ATA accreditation or experience working to BSI 10125 Kitemark standards would be highly beneficial, but it is non-essential.
