- Position: Workshop Controller / HGV Technician
- Location: Lutterworth
- Basic Salary: £23 per hour
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours
- Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm
- Week 2: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- Alternate Saturdays: 6:00am – 12:00pm (paid at overtime rate)
- Guaranteed salary with Saturday overtime: £52,000+
- Additional overtime available

This dual role offers the perfect balance between leading a workshop team and continuing to carry out high-level technical work on heavy vehicles and trailers.
Key Responsibilities for the Workshop Controller / HGV Technician:
- Oversee daily workshop operations, including job allocation, workflow planning, and maintaining high productivity levels
- Provide technical guidance, support, and mentoring to the workshop team
- Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of HGVs and trailers
- Diagnose complex faults and complete repairs to VOSA and manufacturer standards
- Liaise closely with service advisors, the parts department, and management to keep work on schedule and ensure strong communication across departments
- Conduct quality checks on completed jobs, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and to a high standard
- Accurately complete job cards, service documentation, and time records
- Experienced HGV Technician with extensive workshop background
- Previous supervisory, team leader, or controller experience highly desirable
- Recognised heavy vehicle qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
- IRTEC licence (advantageous)
- Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
- Ability to lead a team while still working proactively on the tools
