Duties of the Vehicle Damage Assessor:
  • Inspect and assess damaged vehicles to determine the full extent of the damage, repair costs, and timeframes
  • Identify the correct prescribed repair methods and prepare detailed estimates electronically and manually
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates and repair assessments
  • Liaise effectively with insurance companies to obtain repair authorisation
  • Communicate clearly with customers, engineers, and technicians to explain repair methodologies
  • Keep up-to-date with repair techniques and industry literature for various vehicle marques
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to ensure timely vehicle repairs and customer satisfaction
Candidate Requirements for this Vehicle Damage Assessor role:
  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or ATA / IMI qualification preferred
  • Strong background within a Bodyshop environment as an Estimator or Vehicle Damage Assessor
  • Audatex training is highly desirable
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Alternatively, candidates new to the role or with limited experience will be considered, with salary reflective of experience and qualifications
