Reporting to the Service Manager and working as part of a friendly workshop team, as a Lead Vehicle Technician, you will act as our client's specialist in the repair, servicing and preparation of vehicles, whilst detecting and diagnosing any additional faults for further repair, ensuring all work is completed safely and to the customers’ complete satisfaction. You will also help manage the workshop and play a pivotal role in mentoring/developing other Vehicle Technicians, particularly Apprentices. You will be at the forefront of technical and diagnostic ability to spearhead our technical excellence across our clients' vehicles, including hybrid and electric vehicles.
To be eligible, you need to live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Tewkesbury region and be a fully qualified IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, as well as have additional training recognition to a senior or master level. You will need to hold a UK driving license, be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce a high quality of work in a busy environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Applicants with an active MOT Smart Card, experience with hybrid or electric vehicles, or experience in workshop management would be highly advantageous to our client, but it is non-essential.
