As a Tech & MOT Tester - for speccing, your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting thorough vehicle diagnostics and road tests
  • Carrying out routine servicing, MOT testing, and warranty repairs
  • Diagnosing vehicle faults using technical literature and information bulletins
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety in the workshop
  • Ensuring all work meets manufacturer and safety standards
  • Communicating directly with customers when required and providing clear, professional explanations
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed and parts used
  • Upgrading skills through manufacturer training and courses
Candidate requirements for the Tech & MOT Tester - for speccing role include:
  • Recognition of a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent training
  • Extensive experience in service and repair of motor vehicles (minimum 3 years dealership experience)
  • MOT certification
  • Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and testing procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and customer service skills
This is a full-time, permanent position, offering an attractive starting salary of up to £35,000 per year.
