Our client is a Multi-Site Dealership group with a larger presence across the South Coast, with locations in West Sussex, East Sussex & Hampshire. They work with several vehicle manufacturers and are seeking a Vehicle Technician to join their friendly and busy team. With access to regular support and technical information, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills and expertise.

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out diagnostic work, repairs, servicing on a wide range of vehicles. Utilizing the latest diagnostic technology, tools, and best practice processes within the centre, you will provide the highest level of service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct diagnostic investigations to identify and rectify faults.
  • Perform servicing to manufacturer standards for all makes of vehicles.
  • Carry out thorough vehicle examinations to identify non-routine defects or faults.
  • Perform Electronic Vehicle Health Checks and Video Health Checks.
  • Conduct road tests for diagnosis and to test repairs.
  • Collaborate closely with Service Advisors to keep them informed of work progress and completed tasks.
  • Engage directly with customers to discuss technical issues when necessary.
  • Obtain appropriate authorization before completing any work.
  • Maintain a high level of technical competence through regular training.
What our client expects of their Vehicle Technician:
  • Previous franchise dealer experience in a similar role.
  • MOT Tester qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent technical competence in diagnosing and servicing vehicles.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues and customers.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Right to Live & Work within the UK
