MET Technician – Oswestry
  • Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00 (40 hours per week)
  • Contract: Full-time, Permanent
A well-established Accident Repair Centre in Oswestry is looking for an experienced MET Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a respected Shropshire-based automotive group with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and customer service.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the accident repair centre, carrying out Mechanical, Electrical and Trim repairs to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles in line with BS10125 and manufacturer standards
  • Dismantle vehicles for repair and rebuild following paintwork
  • Carry out Mechanical, Electrical, Trim and Body repairs on allocated jobs
  • Panel replacement and realignment to manufacturer gapping and specification
  • Perform vehicle diagnostics, fault finding and fault clearing
  • Remove and refit radiators, carry out air conditioning repairs and re-gassing
  • Replace suspension components and complete wheel alignment
  • Carry out ADAS calibration (training provided)
  • Tyre fitting and road testing vehicles post-repair
  • Identify additional repair work and liaise with the VDA
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience or fully qualified MET Technician
  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Accident Repair or equivalent
  • ATA qualification desirable but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a team environment
