MOT Tester / Technician Vacancy - Corby Service Centre 
  • Position: MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician 
  • Location: Corby
  • Basic Salary: Up to £36,000
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • Saturdays on a rota (day off in the week)
Our client, a well-established automotive service centre with multiple locations nationwide and part of one of the UK’s fastest-growing tyre retailers, is looking to recruit an experienced MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician for their busy Corby site.

Working as part of a friendly and professional workshop team, you will report directly to the Centre Manager and play a key role in maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out Class 4 and 7 MOT tests in line with DVSA and Ministry standards
  • Diagnosing vehicle faults accurately and efficiently
  • Completing servicing, maintenance, and repair work as required
  • Supporting the wider workshop team to ensure smooth workflow
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant working environment
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure jobs are completed on time
Requirements:
  • Active Class 4 and 7 MOT Tester licence
  • Full UK driving licence with minimal points
  • IMI / NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) preferred
  • Time-served technicians with strong experience and a valid MOT licence will also be considered
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
  • A team-focused attitude with good communication skills
  • Commitment to high standards of workmanship and customer care
