Are you an experienced Workshop Controller seeking a new challenge in Dumfries? Our client, a leading Accident and Collision Repair specialist, is looking to recruit a highly skilled Workshop Controller to join their busy and expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment  where your leadership and technical expertise will make a real difference. Key duties of the Workshop Controller:
  • Organise the bodyshop workflow by controlling job statuses and conducting daily progress meetings with the team
  • Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of all tools and equipment, controlling waste and utilities, and ensuring security
  • Ensure accurate completion of all job cards and adherence to shop floor procedures
  • Communicate effectively with technicians and management regarding quality issues and job progress
  • Assist in maintaining high standards of work by troubleshooting and resolving operational issues
  • Support a team-focused environment by collaborating with colleagues across functions to deliver exceptional service
Candidate requirements for the Workshop Controller:
  • NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds qualification or ATA accreditation in automotive repair
  • Applications from this with current Bodyshop disciplines, looking for a step up, are encouraged
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • High attention to detail with a focus on quality standards and compliance
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Hands-on approach with a keen interest in continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
