- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm plus Saturday mornings on a 1 in 3 rota (with a half day off in the week when working a Saturday)
- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 basic + up to £6,000 OTE (up to £46,000 total)
This is a senior technical position suited to a technician who enjoys complex diagnostic work, problem-solving and large repair jobs, rather than routine servicing. You will be joining a family-owned business with a strong team culture, where technical ability is genuinely valued and supported.
Key Responsibilities for a Diagnostic / Master Technician:
- Carrying out advanced diagnostics and in-depth fault-finding across multiple vehicle brands
- Completing complex and large mechanical repairs
- Acting as a technical lead within the workshop, supporting other technicians when required
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency
- Accurately recording diagnostic findings and repair work
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
- Formal diagnostic training with strong hands-on experience
- Proven background in complex fault-finding and major repair work
- Confident working independently with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail and a methodical diagnostic approach
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
- MOT qualification advantageous but not essential
- Competitive salary with realistic and achievable OTE
