MET Technician required for an Independent Business in Northallerton

Our client, an established independent dealer in Northallerton, is looking to recruit a skilled MET Technician to join their busy team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented MET Technician to work within a reputable bodyshop environment, where you can utilise your expertise and develop your career. The role offers a competitive salary, excellent working hours, and the chance to work with a supportive team dedicated to quality workmanship.

Benefits of this MET Technician role include:
  • Basic salary up to £38,000 depending on experience
  • OTE of up to £50,000 based on performance and productivity
  • Monday to Friday from 8:30AM to 5PM

Duties as an MET Technician:
  • Carrying out mechanical, electrical, and trim repairs on a variety of vehicles
  • Disassembling and reassembling vehicle components to manufacturer standards
  • Diagnosing and rectifying faults efficiently and accurately
  • Working closely with estimators and bodyshop staff to ensure repair quality
  • Using specialised equipment and tools to carry out repairs effectively
  • Adhering to health and safety standards and industry regulations
  • Completing documentation accurately and efficiently for each repair
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard within deadlines
Candidate profile for this MET Technician role:
  • Proven experience as a MET Technician, ideally within a bodyshop setting
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and trim repair skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturer repair procedures and safety standards
  • Possess relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Vehicle Mechanical/Electrical
