Workshop Controller Required in Kidderminster
  • Salary: £36,000 – £44,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Contract: Full-time, Permanent
  • Location: Kidderminster
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a busy car, van and motorhome dealership in Kidderminster. This is a key leadership role within the Aftersales department, where you’ll play a vital part in driving workshop performance, customer satisfaction, and team development.

As Workshop Controller, you will engage, motivate, and lead your team to deliver strong commercial results while maintaining exceptional levels of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive workshop performance to maximise technician efficiency, sold hours, and first-time fix
  • Lead and influence customer-facing teams to maximise upsell while maintaining excellent customer service standards
  • Develop the skills, knowledge, and career progression of technicians and support staff
  • Optimise operational processes within the customer journey, including Electronic Vehicle Health Checks and video inspections
  • Ensure compliance with group financial processes, DVSA MOT standards, and Health & Safety regulations
  • Monitor workflow and productivity across the workshop to ensure targets are achieved
  • Make a positive impact across the Aftersales department and wider dealership
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, or strong background as a Senior Technician or Senior Service Advisor
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced, busy dealership environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Passion for delivering outstanding customer service
  • Commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
