We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable company in Brentwood that is looking to strengthen their team of skilled HGV Technicians.

This is an excellent chance to join a busy workshop environment, working with a well-established business dedicated to quality service and vehicle maintenance.

Duties of the HGV Technician include:
  • Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on HGVs to identify faults or potential issues
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to carry out repairs effectively
  • Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems
  • Carry out welding, soldering, and fabrication tasks as required for vehicle repairs or modifications
  • Assemble replacement parts or components with precision to ensure proper fitment and function
  • Maintain detailed records of all work carried out in accordance with company procedures
  • Assist with the repair or operation of auxiliary equipment such as excavators or forklifts when necessary
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards???????
Candidate requirements for the HGV Technician role:
  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician with certification ideally at Level 3
  • Full UK driving licence, with HGV Class 1 preferred but not essential
  • Flexibility to work overtime and participate in occasional call-outs
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work well within a team environment
  • Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and brake testing is desirable
