Service Manager Needed in Manchester
  • Working Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm, every other Saturday morning (negotiable)
  • Salary: Up to £40,000 basic + performance bonus (potential to earn OTE of £45,000)
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established independent automotive specialist, now looking for a hands-on Service Manager to strengthen their team in a confidential appointment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong leader who enjoys being present in the workshop, supporting staff, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities for Service Manager:
  • Lead and support a small workshop team including technicians, apprentice and service advisors
  • Remain hands-on within the workshop rather than purely office-based
  • Oversee daily workshop performance, productivity and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate workflow, quality control and communication across departments
  • Maintain high technical and service standards across all completed work
What We’re Looking For in a Service Manager:
  • Previous experience as a Service Manager, Workshop Controller or similar leadership role
  • Ability to lead from the front with a hands-on management style
  • Excellent customer service and team communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
Essential: Strong technical automotive background – suitable individuals must have solid hands-on vehicle knowledge
