MOT Tester – Independent Garage
  • Location: Bromsgrove
  • Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (No weekends)
  • Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays
Our client, a busy and well-established independent garage in Bromsgrove, is looking to recruit an experienced MOT Tester to join their professional workshop team. Operating with a modern 10-ramp facility, this is an excellent opportunity for a qualified tester seeking a stable Monday–Friday role with no weekend work.

You will be responsible for carrying out MOT tests to DVSA standards while supporting general workshop duties when required.

Key Responsibilities for this MOT Tester role:
  • Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations
  • Ensure all MOT documentation is completed accurately and compliantly
  • Identify and report vehicle defects clearly
  • Support the workshop with servicing and light repairs when required
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Deliver high standards of workmanship and professionalism
Candidate requirements for the MOT Tester:
  • Valid MOT Tester licence (essential)
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (essential)
  • Previous experience within an independent garage or similar workshop
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Good team player with a positive attitude
  • Full UK driving licence
