Are you an experienced MET Technician seeking a rewarding opportunity in Oldham? Our client is looking for a skilled Commercial MET Technician to join their busy team. Duties of a Commercial MET Technician
  • Conduct high-quality vehicle repairs alongside welding and filler work
  • Diagnose and rectify faults on a variety of commercial vehicles including HGVs, vans, and cars
  • Carry out trailer repairs and welding activities as required
  • Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment in line with health and safety regulations
  • Prepare vehicles for repair work including sanding, masking, and surface preparation
  • Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats with attention to detail
  • Perform minor bodywork repairs and filler application
  • Ensure comprehensive quality control checks on all finished work
  • Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and production targets
Candidate Specifications
  • Proven experience as a MET Technician, Auto Electrician, or similar role in the automotive or commercial vehicle sector
  • Knowledge of vehicle repair processes including welding, filler work, and trailer repairs
  • Ability to work efficiently independently and as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures within an automotive repair environment
  • Experience working on HGVs, vans, and cars
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality workmanship
  • Flexibility to handle a variety of repair tasks and adapt to busy workshop demands
