A prestigious classic car restoration company is seeking an experienced Senior Paint Sprayer to join their workshop team. The business specialises in the restoration and preservation of heritage vehicles, producing high-end finishes that reflect the meticulous quality and craftsmanship that classic cars deserve.
As a Senior Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for preparing and refinishing classic car bodywork to the highest standards, working on rare and valuable vehicles in a highly skilled and detail-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities as a Senior Paint Sprayer:
- Prepare classic car panels and bodywork for painting, including masking, sanding, filling and priming
- Mix and apply paint finishes using specialist techniques for high-end and heritage vehicles
- Deliver outstanding quality and consistency in all paint applications
- Work with minimal supervision to set up and complete complex paint jobs
- Maintain paint booth and equipment in clean, safe and compliant condition
- Collaborate with restoration technicians to ensure paintwork integrates with other restoration work
- Consistently achieve high standards of finish, as expected on classic and valuable vehicles
- Adhere to all health & safety and environmental standards
- Proven experience as a paint sprayer, ideally within classic, prestige or specialist vehicle restoration
- Excellent preparation and spraying skills with high attention to detail
- Confident mixing paint to colour standards and matching heritage finishes
- Ability to work methodically with quality over speed
- Strong understanding of paint types, prep processes, and finishing techniques
- Self-motivated with pride in workmanship
- Good team player with strong communication skills
