Local Business Development Manager required in Exeter
  • Main Dealer group covering Devon and Cornwall
  • Basic salary of up to £30k DOE, £52k OTE
  • Monday to Friday only

We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and results-driven Local Business Development Manager to join an established main dealer group serving the Exeter, Devon area. Benefits of the Local Business Development Manager role:

  • Basic salary up to £30,000 depending on experience
  • Realistic OTE in excess of £52,000
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

  • Monday to Friday working hours (8am to 6pm)
Duties of a Local Business Development Manager:

  • Manage all finance and insurance products in line with company policies, manufacturer standards, and legal requirements
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure vehicle details, specifications, and pricing are accurate and current
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and business partners
  • Provide expert advice on vehicle specifications, pricing, and technical data
  • Evaluate used vans and perform technical assessments on part-exchange vehicles
  • Oversee the entire sales process from initial lead contact through to vehicle delivery
  • Maintain an organised contact management system to maximise lead utilisation
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and implement improvements where necessary
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with customers, management, and team members
Candidate requirements:

  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and passion for automotive sales
  • Highly driven, well-spoken, and able to communicate with clarity
  • Possesses in-depth product knowledge and has undergone sales training
  • Prides themselves on exceeding customer expectations
  • Has a solid understanding of finance products and solutions
