We are seeking a dedicated Roadside Recovery Technician to join our client's patrol team based around the Mayfair and Central London area. This exciting role offers a significant earning potential with a realistic OTE of £58,000 including bonuses and overtime. Benefits for the Roadside Vehicle Technician:
- Competitive basic salary of £53,720 inclusive of London weighting
- Realistic OTE of £58,000 with bonuses and enhanced overtime rates
- Overtime usually non-compulsory with additional premium available for optional hours
- 40-hour working week across varied shifts, including weekends
- Shift pattern provided 7 days in advance - hence the basic salary premium
- Fully compensated for staying out of area up to 4 weeks annually, including hotel, food, fuel, and travel expenses (mandatory by the employer)
- Opportunity for car salary sacrifice after 12 months of employment
- Generous holiday entitlement starting at 23 days plus bank holidays, increasing with service
- Provide roadside recovery for a variety of breakdowns, including tyre replacements, battery jumps, and alternator issues
- Recover vehicles to local garages if repairs cannot be completed roadside
- Conduct diagnostics and minor repairs to get customers back on the road promptly
- Offer exceptional customer service whilst managing potentially stressful situations
- Work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and challenging environments
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain high standards of professionalism
- Be prepared to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and bank holidays
- Stay out of area up to 4 weeks per year for further training and technical skills development, fully paid, with all expenses covered
- Previous experience as a roadside recovery technician or similar role
- Good knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and minor repairs
- Resilient attitude with thick skin and excellent customer service skills
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and bank holidays
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Full UK driving licence, ideally with relevant recovery or breakdown assistance qualifications
- No issues working away from home for extended periods
- Reliable, professional, and customer-focused attitude
