  • Pay: Up to £23 per hour + Overtime paid at time and a half 
  • Hours: Mon – Friday 08:00 – 16:30 with 1 in 2 Saturdays from 05:00 – 13:00

Duties of the HGV Technician:
  • Performing both major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles, trailers, and other commercial vehicles
  • Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance, including tyre rotation and oil changes
  • Maintaining workshop cleanliness and managing inventory levels
  • Diagnosing vehicle faults and planning repairs alongside repair teams
  • Keeping accurate records of all repairs and services undertaken
  • Providing emergency repair services at customer locations when required
  • Completing necessary documentation, warranty claims, and escalating issues to management when necessary
Requirements of the HGV Technician:
  • Level 3 (NVQ, City and Guilds, or IMI) qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
  • Ability to identify faulty or worn components in line with DVSA standards
  • Full UK driving licence relevant to vehicle classes worked on
  • Proven experience working as an HGV Technician or similar position
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills with a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
