Duties

  • Conducting general servicing and mechanical repairs, including suspension, brakes, clutches, and timing belts or chains
  • Diagnosing faults and performing fault finding (training provided as needed)
  • Supporting and mentoring other workshop staff and apprentices
  • Contributing to a positive, quality-focused workshop environment
  • Supporting MOT testing and technician work as required
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service
Candidate spec
  • Approximately 2-3 years of experience as a Vehicle Technician, ideally in a garage or dealership environment
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude and good personality fit is more important than just technical skills
  • Reliable, professional, and motivated to develop further in their career
  • A good, dependable technician with a proven track record of loyalty (average team tenure over 10 years)
  • Skills in diagnostics and general mechanical repairs are desirable
  • MOT testing ability is beneficial but not essential; training can be provided
  • Able to work flexible hours and adapt to the needs of the business
