Duties:
  • Service, adjust and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring quality workmanship
  • Carry out diagnostics and fault analysis using recognised test procedures
  • Road test vehicles where necessary to confirm repairs and issues
  • Observe, identify and report on any vehicle defects or signs of impending failure
  • Reassemble and recharge components with accurate cost estimation and proper documentation
  • Maintain and update technical records and service reports
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanics, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience working on light commercials and transit vans
  • MOT testing qualification is highly desirable
  • A comprehensive toolkit suitable for light commercial vehicle repairs
  • Full UK driving licence and own tools
  • Minimum of two years main dealership experience in a similar role
  • Willingness to develop additional skills such as Electric Vehicle maintenance through dedicated training
